The Howard County House Delegation of the General Assembly, chaired by Delegate Shane Pendergrass, completed a productive year in Annapolis, thanks to the hard work and cooperative efforts of all the delegation members, as well as the Howard County Council and Executive.

EDUCATION
School Construction/Capital Projects – Howard County will receive just over $183 million in State educational aid for K-12.  The county will also receive over $23 million for school construction and renovation projects. 

CAPITAL BUDGET
The Capital Budget (HB 51) includes $375,000 for Blandair Regional Park, $200,000 for the North Laurel Community Center, $350,000 for the Robinson Nature Center, and $50,000 for the Norbel School.

• SB 745  (Ho.Co. 14-07)    Officer Pieter Lucas Act, which clarifies that an auxiliary police officer in Howard County qualifies for workers’ compensation coverage if injured while on duty.
